“Inside Man” gives you a brilliant story and performance.

Dalton has planned the perfect bank robbery. When he enters the bank and claims he has hostages, the situation escalates, and the police surrounds the bank. Detective Frazier is brought in to negotiate with him, and decides to try to stall the situation. As the situation drags on, a wild card emerges. Miss White, a power broker with a hidden agenda, adds even more instability to an already volatile situation.

Some overlaying themes can be seen throughout the movie, which is a typical trademark of director Spike Lee. Racism is one of them, which is especially noticeable during the interview scenes, where the colors have been deliberately contrasted. Two other issues also being commented on is video-game violence and abuse of power.

Lee`s directing is flat out amazing. Every scene and dialogue is thought out very well, and the soundtrack sets the mood perfectly. This movie will keep you entertained until the very end, there is not a second that this movie is boring. The actors seems to have been made for their roles, and it was particularly smart to choose old characters for the roles. Denzel, Owen, and Foster all seems to get better and better with age. They all fit very well into their roles and do an extraordinary job.
